How Blackline Auto Detailing collects, uses and protects your personal information when you book auto detailing with us. Written in plain English so you know exactly what happens to your data. Last updated September 30, 2026.

Who we are

Blackline Auto Detailing of Chester County LLC (“Blackline,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides mobile and in-shop auto detailing across Chester County, the Main Line, Philadelphia, Delaware County, Northern Delaware, Lancaster County and the Lehigh Valley. We bring professional detailing to your home or office, and perform paint correction and ceramic coating at our West Chester shop.

You can reach us at autodetailingchesco@gmail.com or through our website at autodetailingofchestercounty.com. Full contact details are in the Contact us section below.

Information we collect

To schedule and deliver our services, we may collect:

  • Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number.
  • Service address — the home or office where we'll detail your vehicle.
  • Vehicle details — make, model, year, size, and condition relevant to quoting and completing the work.
  • Payment information — details needed to process your payment (handled through our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers).
  • Booking and service history — appointments, services requested, notes from past visits, and photos where relevant.
  • Website usage data — pages visited, device and browser type, and similar information collected automatically when you use our site.
  • We only collect what we genuinely need to run our business and look after our customers.

How we collect it

We collect information when you interact with us through:

  • Our website and quote or contact forms
  • Our online booking system
  • Phone calls and text messages with our team
  • Email correspondence
  • Our scheduling software, which manages appointments and reminders
  • We may also receive limited information if you book through a third-party platform or gift card provider connected to our service.

Why we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Schedule and deliver your detailing service
  • Confirm appointments and send reminders so nobody misses a booking
  • Process payments and issue receipts
  • Respond to your questions and enquiries
  • Keep records of the work we've done for you
  • Improve our service, website, and customer experience
  • Send communications you've agreed to receive, such as appointment reminders or service updates

Legal basis for processing

We process personal information only where we have a legitimate reason to — for example, to fulfill a booking you've requested, to carry out our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, or because we have a genuine business need (and that need is not outweighed by your rights). We do not process your information for anything beyond running and improving our service.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate our business. These may include:

  • Scheduling software that manages bookings and reminders
  • Payment processors that handle your transactions securely
  • Email and messaging providers that deliver our communications
  • Analytics providers that help us understand how our website is used
  • These providers process information on our behalf and only to deliver the service we've asked them to provide. We may also disclose information where required by law.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the United States. When that happens, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect your information in line with this policy.

Communications and consent

With your consent, we may send you emails and text messages about your booking, reminders, and updates you've asked to receive. Providing your contact details and consenting to these messages is not a condition of purchasing any service — you can decline and still book with us.

You can withdraw your consent at any time:

  • Email: use the unsubscribe link in every email we send.
  • Text messages: reply STOP to opt out, or reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Once you withdraw consent, we'll stop sending promotional messages, though we may still send service-related messages (like appointment confirmations) where needed to complete your booking.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can decline non-essential cookies without affecting your ability to book a service. Blocking some cookies may limit features on the site. We do not use advertising trackers; if we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy first.

How long we keep it and how it is secured

We keep personal information only as long as we need it — to deliver services, keep records, respond to enquiries, and meet legal obligations. After that, we delete it or anonymize it.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, including limiting access to the people who need it and using secure systems for payments and scheduling. No method of storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Your rights

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy, to ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate, and to request deletion of your information where we no longer need it.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws — for example, California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of — but you can still exercise any of these rights by contacting us.

To make any request, email us at autodetailingchesco@gmail.com or call (484) 881-3049. We'll respond within a reasonable time and may ask for information to verify your identity.

Children's privacy

Our services and website are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll take steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make a significant change, we may also notify you through our website or by email. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
